Product Details

This is a .925 sterling silver holloware dresser dish from the Webster Company. George K. Webster founded the Webster Company in 1869 which at first it was called G.K. Webster & Co. and in 1894 the company moved to North Attleboro, MA. and changed the company’s name from G.K. Webster & Co to Webster Co. One of the hallmarks that were used by the company was a capital “W” over a capital “C” followed by a small “o” after the two capital letters with an arrow going through the center of all three letters and the arrow head point’s to the right as you look at the hallmark on the bottom. In 1950, the Webster Co. became a subsidiary of Reed & Barton Company and operated as an independent company to present time. The Webster Company produced sterling silver and silver plated flatware and hollowware items. The Flatware products where things like knives, forks, spoons, serving utensils and the  hollowware items was things like  candlesticks, dresser sets, bowls, baby items, napkin rings, thimbles, picture frames, dishes, and more. This hollowware dish was made somewhere between 1940 to 1950. There are some scratches and dents on the inside of the dish. Other than that, it is in excellent condition with no cracks, chips, necks, repairs, fleabites, stains, or wears-marks.
